I’ve been intending to join A Chronic Voice link up for February for 26 days – it’s been that kind of month. The weather changes have had me adapting my schedule far more than anticipated to allow me rest during my CRPS flare-ups.

I have been practicing my bible study skills this month, amongst the studies I’ve enjoyed have been I Am Loved by Wendy Blight with Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies, leading one of their small groups is such a privilege. The women gave me such insight into the book, the bible and life in general. In preparation for Easter, I have joined the Karen Ehman Zip It study and it is reforming my word use – both in speech and thought! Today is also the first day of Make Your Move by Lynn Cowell and I and looking forward to this adventure to find Godly confidence.

I am realising the more time I spend in God’s word, the more able I am to keep my calm and celebrate the smaller happenings: the walks in the garden, the pups running about, the nuzzles from Texas – the really important things. I have so enjoyed time with friends, being invited and inviting them round, despite the haste of the world, has renewed and eased the struggles.

Whilst I hope to leave the pain in February, I hope I carry these happy lessons into March!

  1. It’s so nice to learn more about you! Celebrating smaller things-yes! I just got back from walking my pooch around the block. I was truly grateful for the ability to walk around the block and for the bird song, breeze, and sunshine. I’m worn out now, but I’m glad I got out.

  2. Thanks for participating Kelly, it doesn’t matter that you took 26 days, and it sure isn’t late as it’s on for all of Feb! 🙂 Loved reading about your life as a fellow spoonie. It’s definitely difficult to adapt to flares and downtime no matter what. Wishing you a lovely March to come!

  3. What a lovely post, Kelly. Found you through the Chronic Voice link-up. Nice to find a fellow South African blogger, I’m also from KZN.

I also find that spending more time in God’s word just makes one appreciate life so much more regardless of our circumstances. I look forward to reading more of your posts. My Feb link-up post was also super late Lol… Better late than never though, right?

    1. Thank you so much! Oh my, how cool is this?! Awesome to hear you are local ?
