I have read “5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit” three times over and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. It is Nicki Koziarz’s first book but you wouldn’t know it! She is beautifully honest, steeped in Biblical wisdom and wonderfully practical.

At it’s centre is the Book of Ruth. Nicki uses it to illustrate 5 habits to live out:

  • Habit One: She accepts the assignment of refinement. 
Habit Two: She follows through with her commitments despite how she feels. 
  • Habit Three: She stays open to the movement of God. 
  • Habit Four: She gives others what she needs. 
  • Habit Five: She moves forward in faith.

Each chapter shares a story from Nicki’s life, unpacks a part of the Biblical journey the women of Ruth go on and shares practical ways to live out the wisdom shared by these fascinating women.

“But I believe how we walk through the assignment of refinement may determine our next assignment. I became really challenged by this idea one day when I read: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. (Rom. 8:18)“
