Book Review: Kissed by a cowboy, Debra Clopton

This week has been a long one, having had flu and a flare-up in CRPS, I went looking for a comfort book yesterday. I picked up Kissed by a cowboy by Debra Clopton and whilst a tad predictable (but isn’t this what we love about this genre – Christian Romance), the writing is delightful! It’s a story about finding what it takes to be fulfilled and at peace that takes place against the beautiful backdrop of a small Texan town set in ranch country. I could so relate to our leading lady, she was authentic and sweet. I read it start to finish in less an 24 hours. Being horsey myself, the ranch aspect added to the whole adventure and makes me itch to get back in the saddle!

It is part of a series but I haven’t read the other two, this doesn’t detract from the story at all and I now have to new books for my ‘to read’ list!

Two of my favourite lines:

“It’s just going from point A to point B…you can do anything you want in life if you think about it like that – and read lots of books”

“But God had seen fit to provide friends now, if she could she’d give the Lord a hug

Note: I received this book for free through Netgalley for my honest review
